This is between Shulenburg and Shiner. A nice Czeck name I'm guessing. According to Aunt Polly it is pronounced "Vivialla". She said she worked w/a lady with that last name. It's Aunt Polly, so who knows for sure????

This is a Czech name and my Vyvjala ancestors lived on that street. It's where the old farm used to be. Aunt Polly is right on the pronounciation. I love that name because everyone always looks at it and goes "huh?". Beth D. in Leander, TX
Yes! My grandmother's maiden name was Vyvjala, pronounced, and spelled Vivialla in some census records. My family spelled their Vyvjala. I found graves back to my great, great, great grandmother in Praha, Texas. Josef Vyvjala's mother. They settled as one of the earliest families. Some tombstones have the name Vivialla, and Vivalla.
