One of the patients that comes into the chiropractic clinic is a musician. I always do Dan's therapies when he comes in and he and I talk music. You see Dan and his brothers were in Roy Orbison's band from 1977-1982. Dan's brother Chris wrote the song "That Lovin' You Feeling Again" that Roy and Crystal Gayle recorded. He also won a Grammy for the song. It was interesting to hear Dan tell how they went from being 5 brothers in a band from Burns Flat, OK to Nashville playing with Roy Orbison. Dan and 2 of his brothers have a band called Trader Price and were playing at a little club called Spurs. After the basketball games were over (we won by the way), we headed to Elk City to listen to some music and enjoy some frosty beverages. We didn't hear any original music, but they were a great cover band and we were surprised when the second song was "Una Mas Cerveza". They played some Eagles and lots of Brooks and Dunn, even one Roy Orbison song. Anyway, it was good to get out and hear some live music. Make no mistake though, they will never take the place of good old Texas music! It was just a temporary fix.
